Base pay: $63.17 per hour

We are looking for an experienced Civil Site Foreman who wants to help build a high-performing crew and one of Hawaiis strongest construction companies.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN
The Civil Site Foreman leads the crew and executes the daily work plan developed with the Superintendent.
You will be responsible for:
Directing daily activities for Laborers, Operators, and Leadmen
Communicating the daily work plan and production targets
Achieving assigned production targets
Coordinating daily excavation, grading, utility, and site-work activities
Verifying layout, elevations, grades, slopes, and utility locations before work begins
Ensuring excavation, trenching, shoring, and access requirements are followed
Ensuring work follows plans, specifications, and quality requirements
Maintaining safety, environmental compliance, and jobsite organization
Tracking excavation, backfill, base course, pipe, trucking, and other production quantities
Submitting accurate daily reports and timecards
Reporting field conflicts, differing conditions, utility concerns, and production delays early
Preventing avoidable utility strikes, rework, damage, waste, and downtime
Keeping assigned trucks, equipment, and tools clean and maintained
Training and developing Leadmen and crew members
Holding the crew accountable while treating people with respect
CLEAR OWNERSHIP
The Project Manager owns contracts, finances, change orders, and owner communication.
The Superintendent owns field planning, overall schedule execution, manpower, equipment, materials, and major coordination.
The Foreman owns the crew, daily execution, safety, quality, reporting, and production.
You will have defined responsibilities, authority, and leadership support.
THE WORK
Excavation and grading
Site preparation and base course installation
Underground drainage systems
Waterline installation
Sewer installation
Trenching, backfill, and compaction
Roadway and infrastructure improvements
Civil and structural demolition
Utility trench restoration
Sidewalk, curb, gutter, and site-concrete coordination
Erosion and sediment-control installation
Government and commercial projects
QUALIFICATIONS
At least three years leading civil, excavation, grading, or utility crews as a Foreman, Working Foreman, Leadman, or equivalent
Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, trenching, backfill, compaction, and underground utility installation
Ability to read civil plans, profiles, details, specifications, and utility drawings
Ability to verify elevations, grades, slopes, and layout
Ability to organize Laborers and Operators and track production
Strong understanding of excavation, trenching, utility, and heavy-equipment safety
Strong communication and jobsite-organization skills
OSHA 30 certification or ability to complete company-paid training within 60 days
Excavation and Trenching Competent Person certification or ability to complete company-paid training within 60 days
Valid drivers license with an acceptable driving record
Availability for scheduled night, weekend, and extended-hour assignments
