Join HTM Contractors, Inc. as an Arborist and help support our residential and commercial tree care operations throughout O?ahu.

This position combines tree inspections, written assessments, communication with city inspectors, and hands-on fieldwork alongside our tree trimming and removal crews.

We are looking for a knowledgeable, safety-minded individual who can identify tree conditions, prepare detailed reports, and support safe, professional tree care using specialized equipment and proper climbing and rigging techniques.

WORK SCHEDULE

Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Tree Inspection & Reporting

• Inspect trees to identify defects, structural concerns, and the severity of observed conditions.

• Prepare detailed arborist inspection reports.

• Communicate with city inspectors by email regarding tree inspections and related findings.

• Prepare work areas for trimming and removal operations.

• Coordinate with tree crews regarding inspection findings and required fieldwork.

Tree Care & Field Operations

• Assist field crews with cleanup following inspections and tree care work.

• Safely climb trees as required.

• Prune and remove trees using cranes or rope-rigging techniques.

• Perform tree pruning and trimming.

• Remove trees using appropriate methods, with and without spurs.

• Haul branches, logs, and tree debris.

• Operate wood chippers and assist with debris processing.

• Operate aerial lifts and bucket trucks at heights ranging from approximately 40 to 120 feet.

• Follow established tree care and workplace safety practices.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Valid driver's license required.

• ISA Certified Arborist with at least three years of certification preferred but not required.

• CDL Class B or higher preferred but not required.

• Two years of tree work experience preferred.

• Knowledge of tree inspections, defects, and tree care practices.

• Ability to prepare detailed inspection reports.

• Experience with tree climbing, pruning, and removal operations.

• Ability to communicate professionally with inspectors and field crews.

• Commitment to safe equipment operation, climbing, and rigging practices.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• PAY: $30.00 Hourly

• Weekly pay
